Tamara Geisler is an Educator, Actor, and Producer. Born in Mexico City, she moved to the United States at the age of 3. She received her education from the Professional Performing Arts School in New York, the British American Dramatic Academy in London, received her Bachelors Degree in English and Theater from Barnard College and is currently getting her Masters Degree in Educational Theatre from NYU.
As an actor, Tamara has performed across the globe and specialized in Shakespeare, Experimental Theatre and Children’s theatre. She has been in numerous indie shorts, industrials commercials and has had select TV appearances.
As an educator, Tamara has taught theater in over 50 New York City public schools, private schools and theater companies. She has also led teacher professional developments in NYC and Mexico. Additionally, she is a master teaching artist on Mexican folklore and cultural traditions, including Día de Muertos programing. She has presented her work at several museums, universities and community centers.
As a person, Tamara has an incorrigible sweet tooth, loves to read, dance, and spend time with family and friends!
